You Write It…

I’ve been on vacay this weekend at the beautiful beach in Cherry Grove, SC. My brain has been on vacay, too, so I thought you could help me write this blog post.

What are some things you have been learning or some links to great blog posts that spoke to you? Leave a comment with your thoughts and/or links so we can encourage each other.  OR! Have you written a great blog post? Leave that link, too!

  1. I am learning selflessness and patience as it applies to relationships. I am also working on hearing God’s voice and following His will for my life. :)

A blog post that really wonked me over the head last week was this:

    http://meditationsofhislove.blogspot.com/2011/06/having-heart-for-god-in-craziness-of.html

The author’s commitment to spending time with the Lord touched me and convicted me to reprioritize so as to make Christ my focus!

Lately, God has really been revealing some of the reasons I made the mistakes that I did in the past (now that I can look back on certain events without an emotional reaction/attachment). I’m starting to understand that, for one, I gave myself too much credit (didn’t think I was susceptible to certain sin…how sadly naive!!) and, two, that I didn’t really understand my worth in Him…such a strange contradiction and toxic combination. So grateful that I serve a FORGIVING, redeeming God!

I have been learning so much about how God can use me in this time of singleness and how he has really been etching a story in my path all along. A blog that I recently came across that has a lot to do with my line of work and spoke to me about these needs is http://thementoringproject.org/blog/

and a link to one that I recently posted for a Christian blog on an adoption website is
