I’m excited to converse with you all more on our theme RISE UP!: a generation of young women RISING UP and making Jesus famous in their life. BUT…I couldn’t help but share my news.

There’s some irony going on in my life the past six months. I’ve stressed out over my book titled Stress Point. I’ve worried, fretted, thrown major tantrums, cried, and come up dry. But, the best — and hardest part — was that I came to the very end of myself. Back in September I had a killer month of stress and finally ended up at a point where I could no longer depend on talent and writing skills, for there was no talent and writing skills to speak of. I was at the very end of myself and ready for God to step in and take over this project in a big way.

This was a VERY good thing. My ego set aside, I can no longer take credit for the words He’s poured into this book. I can no longer say that I did it, that I affected changed via the words of this book into the lives of potential readers. Jesus did it all. Period. It is an infinitely better project because I released my stress — my book — to Him.

So as I typed the final paragraph and prepared to send the enormous word file to my editor, I sat in pure shock. He did it through me and it was a FUN ride, after I relented. I’m so very excited for my 20-something girlfriends who stress out over things like money, dating, family, friends, career, love to see that Jesus is King of Kings over every single area of life. I just can’t wait for my sweet girlfriends to see how they can LIVE OUT the Kingship of Christ and live a life of godly success, purpose and well being. God has something unique to speak over my 20-something girlfriends and I’ve got the privilege of joining Him in this movement.

There is so much to do to finish off this book, this wonderful journey, before the release date of June 2012. My awesome editor will get her hands on it, twisting and turning my words to make them even more effective. While I don’t love the editing process, I’m excited to learn from her writing talent and make this the best book it can be.
