Stress Point Week 7: Girlfriend Interview — 5 Comments

  1. I so needed this!! What a wonderful interview! I’m going to discuss the 10/10/80 rule with my husband. We’ve been married for 12 years & have also had a bumpy financial road…we are just now starting to truly budget & tithe more than $20. We are actually (here recently) tithing 10%. It’s so hard to write that check some Weeks but it’s all about faith & trusting God. The 10/10/80 rule sounds exciting & doable so I can’t wait to talk to my husband about it. Again, thank you for this!!
    Blessings,
    Karri

  2. Loved the Interview! I have heard of the 10/10/80 rule but have never tried it. I have been so scared to save that 10 percent and not have enough money for my bills. But these two weeks while I am in Alaska I am going to be praying and asking the Lord to help me so I can start doing this when i Get back!!

  3. I loved the interview! Finances has been the one thing that God has completely rocked me in over the last several years. I’ve gone from having a lot of debt to being debt free and learning how to manage the money that I do make. It has not been easy but it has been the best thing God has brought me through. I even recently took a new job and with that job I took a $200.00 pay cut a month. This has been huge for me but I am seeing how God is providing every step of the way. :) Thank you, Leah for sharing your story today!

  4. I’m praying for each of you and asking God to shower you with BIG blessings as you step out in faith and trust Him with your finances.

I know it can be hard and even a little scary to start tithing 10%, especially in this economy when so many people are taking pay cuts. But, God promises to provide for our needs and tells us that if we commit all of our ways to Him, our plans WILL succeed (Psalm 16:3) Now, that’s what I call a 100% guarantee!!

    Keep the faith!
    Leah
