Career: Paying Your Dues

My first book Stress Point published almost a year ago now! As I’m taking several writing days to focus on my NEXT book as well as taking some vacation, I thought it would be fun to re-post the video blogs I made for each chapter of the book. You don’t have to have read the book in order to benefit from these videos…but I do hope you will consider checking out Stress Point :)

The first chapter of Stress Point talks about our career. I talk a lot about finding our “dream job” and how it can be discouraging as a young adult when we just haven’t yet navigated our way to a job that we are super passionate about. Along the journey, it is key to keep our eyes right on Jesus and make Him our passion. Our job will not fulfill our needs and make us conent and happy. Check out my thoughts about my own career journey and how I focus on Jesus first.

I invite you to check out my book Stress Point if you haven’t read it yet. It is packed with real, raw and relevent encouragement to make Jesus the center of every part of life to find godly success, purpose and well-being. Click Here for tons of info about the book and where you can get your very own copy.

  1. This totally encouraged me! I am in the process of looking for a job and it’s been a very HARD 2 1/2 years trying to figure out where God is taking me. Like you said, we all have our own idea of what path to take and what our dream job is. And I’ve dreamed of being many things ‘when I grow up’ but now have some sort of idea, but there doesn’t seem to be any open doors or anything right now and it’s not easy. But I want His will more than anything, so I have to keep the faith and hold on to every piece He gives me on this journey! Thank you for the encouragement Sarah! I’ve gotta get that book soon! God bless. :)

    • Amari, you have the perfect attitude and are positioning yourself in the perfect place to be open to what God has for you. Keep your focus on Him!
