Secret #12 Words Have Great Power

It starts with a seed. A single thought.

Before we know it, this thought has taken root and we begin to believe it; we buy into it. Soon this thought has consumed our hearts and minds. It takes over and begins a process of distruction and despair. These words that start the cycle can come from others or they can be messages we tell ourselves.

I remember my own struggles with this. I still recall the excruciatingly painful words spoken over me–the kind that make your knees cave and your heart sink. I remember accepting those words into my mind, then watching them grow from seeds of self-doubt into complete absence of hope. Eventually, I collapsed and lost all desire for life.

Then…

A new thought.

A new seed.

A new root.

As His light appeared through the shadows, I could feel Him again. Jesus walked into the room and said, “You are going to make it through this and will tell millions of people.”

In my broken state, I replied, “I can’t even talk to myself with out pain in my heart. How on earth will I ever talk to millions of people?”

He simply told me, “You will. Trust me.”

Trust is difficult, especially when you are trusting for a complete reversal of the situation you are in and of the mindset you have. It is a cycle. We repeat what we focus on. We plant seeds every day. We are gardeners, you and I. And guess what?

We can refuse to allow some sees to take root! We can take our tools and say, “I reject that! I don’t receive that!” Being the master gardeners that we are, we can choose, with an acto of our free will, to NOT let those thoughts take root in our lives.

Words have great power, and just as the single negative thought brought you down, this single positive thought–Jesus is with me!–will life you up out of the the darkness and give life to a new way of thinking and speaking.

Speak His truth. Plant the seed and tell yourself you are ready to Be More. (EXCERPT used with permission)

This excerpt reminds me to cling to this truth and speak this truth out just ask Sandi encouraged us to do:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

  3. One thing I’ve been doing lately is putting my name into scripture when it’s talking about us. Like “I will be with Katie always til the very end of the age.” Sometimes it makes bad grammar but also a beautiful reminder.

  4. Clinical studies have shown that use of squalane in your skin care
regime greatly reduces fine wrinkles and keeps your skin moist and supple.

If you use products made with chemical preservatives, these
chemicals may be absorbed into your body. I bought it with the intention of adding it
to my soaps and also to give to my wife.
