Wow.
I have never thought of envy in that light. I always knew it was wrong, but I guess I never understood why. God doesn’t want us to envy for our own good. It drives us away from seeing not only ourselves, but Him in truth! It keeps us from letting Him shine through us! A grateful heart is so important and should trump any complaints we think we should get to have.
I thank God that, even though it was difficult, you were obedient in writing this chapter! This is a great study, I have only finished chapter two, but I am excited to get into the rest of it!
