Just a few thoughts…
~What is one smart way that YOU use your smart phone?
ALSO! The two winners of the giveaway of A Confident Heart by Renee Swope are Melanie H. and Sarah Elizabeth! I will be emailing you tomorrow. Thanks to you all for participating in the conversation and for encouraging each other.
Congratulations Melanie and Sarah Elizabeth! =)
So Sarah, you and I have the same phone! Haha. Except I got the all black one. I do love it though. I’m still trying to figure it out but one thing that I love about my smart phone is YOUVERSION dot com. LOVE their app for my phone. I have a bunch of translations of the bible as well as Bible Reading Plans that i’ve chosen! And when i’m done reading the plan for the day it makes a check mark which I absolutely love!! It’s so easy to use and impacts my day.
I love your idea too about the prayer appointment thing. I do that too that’s why where i’m like, “Can I pray for you?” or “Sure of course i’ll pray for you” … I have to be more intentional about that and thats a good way of being so.
Chelsea!
I’ve seen some friends of mine use that app and I hear it is great. Going to check it out! Thanks girl.
I love this post. It’s so you! And such a great idea for accountability. You taught me to do this awhile back. I must say, there is nothing better than getting those “PRAYING!!!!” texts from you. what a dear sweet friend you are. I thank God for sitting you at my table last summer. Even though we both prayed not to talk to anybody. ha!
This is me catching up on my Google Reader…haha.
I use the YouVersion app, as well! One thing that my church has started that I absolutely love is that they use the Live feature on that app. Our pastor posts his sermon outline, as well as the songs that will be played (with links to iTunes!), and you can follow along during the service. I’m such a writer during church, so I love that I can follow along with the outline and add my own notes in!
Hope you’re doing well, Sarah =)
I love the prayer appointment idea! I have two appointments on my phone. One for a Christian sister with chronic illness and one for a non-believing co-worker. I showed him the app’t on my phone and he almost cried.
The main thing I do with my smart phone is to send out daily prayer texts. It started about 4 yrs ago when a friend’s husband died. Now, I have close to 150 people who receive it! Christians and non-Christians alike!
