**This is a life movement that I hope you will join me and other young adult women in RISING UP! and making Jesus famous in our life — in 2012. Here is the string of posts on this topic.
In 2012 what would happen if we…
~RISE UP! with integrity at our jobs and work as if our boss is Jesus.
~RISE UP! with our money and give until it hurts.
~RISE UP! with our relationships and love even when that love isn’t returned.
~RISE UP! with our words and speak the fame and glory of Jesus even if people think we are weird.
~RISE UP! with our actions and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit even if that leading takes us to uncomfortable places.
Let this movement of our life, of our soul not be just about words and motivational phrases that look nice on paper. Let us actually do this RISING UP thing, making it real and practical in our lives.
Psalm 145 captures this life movement of RISING UP and we will dig deeper into the Scripture as the weeks progress. Take a peek at four verses that have captured my imagination for this RISING UP of young women. I envision sparks all across the world that RISE UP and LIVE OUT the fame and glory of our KING. Women that love the LORD with all their heart, mind and soul and their girlfriends to do the same.
You are that spark.

Don’t let the spark go dormant with complacency…
Don’t let that spark die out because of fear or uncertainty…
RISE UP!
One generation shall commend your works to another,
and shall declare your mighty acts.
On the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds,
and I will declare your greatness.
They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness
and shall sing aloud of your righteousness. {Psalm 145: 4-7}
Jesus said on Palm Sunday that the rocks would cry out if His people wouldn’t praise Him. Oh how I don’t want to leave it up to the rocks! {Luke 19:40}
Let’s not miss out on the pleasure of RISING UP and LIVING OUT our lives that reflect the greatness, mercy, joy, majesty of Jesus.
This life movement takes preparation, though. Today will you join me in some thoughtful journaling through the idea of RISING UP? Find some quiet space in your brain to search out why you desire to RISE UP. Though everything in me wants to jump feet first into this life movement, I know I must come at it with a heart prepared for major change and transformation. I invite you to take some time and journal through these questions below.
Let these words be a prayer and a declaration to God that you are ready and willing to RISE UP!
~Why do I desire to RISE UP? What is my true motivation?
~What are areas in my life that I leave out my faith and trust in God?
~Pray through these areas in your life and confess to the Lord why you’ve left Him out.
~List out ways that you need God to move in your life and in the world around you.
~Tell Him how much you trust Him to do great things, in His way, in your life and your world.
**If you can’t name ways that the Lord is moving around you, this is ok. Take a few moments to ask God open your heart and mind to see what His is, in fact, doing around you and in you.
I would love to hear how the Lord is speaking to you. I would also love to discuss how you feel the need to prepare to RISE UP!
