Choose Joy

As summer is fast approaching, I think back on the good old days of childhood where I would run shoe-less and bathing suit clad carefree for several months during the super hot Texas summer. My mom would keep us pretty busy with fun summer camps like gymnasticas camp, sewing camp, dance camp. Choosing To Say Thank You

Today I had a wonderful lunch with a new friend. With our smart phones set aside, we had one of those get real about life conversations. The word contentment fell out of my mouth and my friend promptly asked striaight up about how I live my life content. My response came quickly and honestly with an absolute disclaimer: I often find myself driving down the mental road of comparision and discontent. Bottom line, contentment is a daily choice. Shimmer and Radiance

Boy does my Lord know how to speak my language by using words like shimmer and radiance in His Holy Word. If we show up to our alone time with God in His Bible, He will speak straight to our heart…should we open up and be ready to accept His ultimate wisdom and powerful words.
