The Stone Collective is a community making much of Jesus as we create art, photography, prose, poems or music that commemorate the wonderful things God does in our life. Based on the passage in 1 Samuel 7:12-14, each month we will collect Ebenezer Stones as a regular practice in the art of worship via our creativity.

Sarah’s May Stone
My most favorite medium to work with is watercolor. After that, I LOVE to take acrylic paint and just go nuts on a page. This is what I did in May’s Stone. I actually created this on a manila file folder…believe it? Funny right? The reason I do this is because it is cheap and sturdy and I don’t have to worry about messing up an expensive canvas. So, I just have fun!
YOU ARE HERE is something I keep telling myself lately. It is not a mantra but rather a reminder of where God has me—exactly where He wants me to be…HERE.
Whatever closed doors are in my face, the Lord has me HERE for His ultimate purpose. I must sit, be patient, worship Him HERE and learn something from the experience.
What place does God have YOU in these days? Are you content? Anxious? Doubting? Wondering? Asking Why?
Sit still in the HERE. Jesus will meet you there. He knows. He sees. He sets the path before you for the future. But in the meantime, will you be present in the HERE and NOW?
It is YOUR TURN to join in…
At the end of each month I will post links to my writer and artist friend’s blogs where they share their Stones and the stories behind them. The Stone Collective for February was filled with wonderful music videos, photos and art and blogs about big things God is doing. He is on the MOVE. Please feel free to click around on the links below and find inspiration to begin your own Stone Collection.
