My heart swelled as my sweet, 20 year old friend sat on my couch one night after Bible study and shared her deep insecurities. As the other women gathered their purses and put on their shoes (we get kind of comfortable during Bible study), she lingered and tried her darnedest to hold back tears. I recognized the look in her eyes.

I have no reason what so ever to EVER feel blah about my job. NO REASON. But, yet, there are times in the year when I’m just not excited to get to work. Do you ever experience this? I’ve come to realize that I can not count on the feeling of “I want to.” Feelings are wishy washy an deceiving — not always to be trusted. So when the blahs come around in regards to my job, I have to realize up front exactly what is going on…my feelings are getting in the way.
Dreaming dreams and planning life. That is what I think best describes the quest of a 20/30 something. If you are anything like me, you have probably spent hours mapping out your life or dreaming up your next big project in which you will conquer the world.
