Advent: Awe and Wonder Day 14 and 15

As much as I envisioned this series to be a perfect Advent experience, well…I dropped the ball. I’ve been sick in the bed with a stomach bug and barely and active brain cells to do much of anything. For me along this journey of Advent: Awe and Wonder, I’m learning to cut myself some slack and not beat myself up when I don’t meet my own high expectations. I wonder if you might do the same for yourself…especially this Christmas.

Thank you for being patient with me. I wrote a post for Friday which never published like I intended. Whoops. I thought I would log on while I feel just a tad bit well and leave you with the Advent Scriptures for Saturday and Sunday. I look forward to reconnecting with you on Monday. Hugs!

Saturday and Sunday’s Advent Scriptures from THE VOICE: Psalm 110:1-4

The Eternal said to my lord,
“Sit here at My right hand,
in the place of honor and power,
And I will gather your enemies together,
lead them in on hands and knees;
you will rest your feet on their backs.”

The Eternal will extend your reach as you rule
from your throne on Zion.
You will be out in enemy lands, ruling.
Your people will come as volunteers that day; they will be a sight to see:
on that day, you will lead your army, noble in their holiness.
As the new day dawns and dew settles on the grass,
your young volunteers will make their way to you.
The Eternal has sworn an oath
and cannot change His mind:
“You are a priest forever—
in the honored order of Melchizedek.”

Enjoy your Advent weekend!
