Salute of the Tulips

Part of our role as Christians is to recognize God as Creator of the universe and to give Him the credit for the magnificence of the world He formed with His own hands.

Springtime is a wonderful time to do just this. Every year about this time, grass grows green, flowers sprout up from the ground and animals come out of the winter slumber. Beauty comes forth around us in abundance.

I was driving in my neighborhood and stunned by a flower bed of gorgeous , colorful tulips. These flora were all of the primary colors in their brightest hue and were standing straight up as if to salute the Lord. I was moved to applause as I gave recognition and credit to the Lord for His creativity. It would be so easy to give credence to the gardener who skillfully planted this flower bed. But, God deserves all the praise!!
“the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.” Isaiah 55:12

LIVE IT OUT:
Take the time this spring to open your eyes to creation around you and give God a shout for joy our and applause of praise for blessing us abundantly with His royal artwork!

  1. Found your blog through your comment on Nicki;s blog today. I would love to hear more about the study on Biblical Worldview that you did last year. Is it the book that is posted in your sidebar? I teach Biblical Worldview in my classroom and this may be the very tool that I have been praying about to share with moms in my classroom. Would love to hear from you!

  2. Oh you’ll love the Kimbug!! I call her my “Kimsense”!! =) She’s so amazing! She’s a teacher at my daughter’s school and I just adore her! She’s a great person to get to know!!

Are you going to the She Speaks conference?

  3. This devo made me think of these verses:
    1 Corinthians 3:5-7
5What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 7So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.

  4. Sarah, I am so glad you visited my blog today! I have “seen” you on Leigh’s comments, but this is the first time to visit. So glad I did! I appreciated what you wrote and the picture was absolutely gorgeous! Glory to God!

I know what you mean about creation praising Him. I walk very early every morning. It is amazing to listen to the birds, especially this time of year. But, I know their sweet songs are praising our wonderful Creator.

    Thanks for your kind welcome.
