RISE UP! A Declaration

**This is a life movement that I hope you will join me and other young adult women in RISING UP! and making Jesus famous in our life — in 2012. Here is the string of posts on this topic.

Last week we talked about the three young boys in the book of Daniel, Daniel’s friends who refused to bow down to anything other than their Almighty God. They were only able to stand tall and RISE UP! based on their firm foundation of beliefs. In a day where relativism rules: my thoughts only matter to me, your beliefs are well…just your beliefs, it is no wonder we have this itch to do something with our lives yet search still endlessly search for something, anything to stand firm on.

This is the beauty of the Gospel.

Truth is TRUTH.

Principals to base our lives on are FIRM.

We have lines drawn in the sand…whether we like those hard lines or not…they are drawn by a God who has the final say.

This leaves us at a spot where, in order to really RISE UP! to really do something, we must declare what we believe.

Starting with the Gospel:

Sin is a real thing.

Sin separates us from God.

Blood must be shed to get us right with God.

Jesus {God in FLESH} came to the world. Born miraculously of a virgin.

He lived the PERFECT life. {duh! He IS God!}

He hung on the cross. Shed His blood. Died.

Three days later His grave was empty.

He overcame death and took His place back on the throne.

We now have all access to the Almighty God.

The Holy Spirit (God) lives inside our heart and empowers us to RISE UP!

Wow.

This was an exhilarating practice for me to write out my synopsis of the Gospel. I’m all fired up and ready to preach on the street corner…

I would love to read how you string your words together to declare what you believe.  Leave a comment with your sentences that describe the Gospel…your declaration. How does it feel to say, or type, the TRUTH? Let’s see your creativity in how you take TRUTH and put it in your own words!
