All week I’ve been talking about my stinky attitude. You can catch up in this post and this post. I thought I’d end the week with some perfume to make things smell better, but that would only mask over the underlying problem. So here is my solution:
Turn the pity party into a celebration…in my head.

All my heart will give thanks to You, Eternal One.
I will tell others about Your amazing works.
I will be glad and celebrate You! I will praise You, O Most High! {Psalm 9:1-2}
My head is where it all starts. The darkness or the light with in the depths of my mind drives my attitude. Yesterday I talked about a choice we each make when our attitude goes south.
Today I choose to RISE UP! and CELEBRATE.
A party of TWO (Jesus and Me) in my mind is all I need to be that nice, sweet person He made me to be rather than the wretched stinky girl with a sour attitude.
Here are a few ways that I CELEBRATE:
~Write out characteristics of God. {He is holy, He is mighty, He forgives me, etc} Check out my post about journaling for more ideas.
~Write out things you are thankful for. THEN, give God a WHOHOO! out loud. Come on, don’t be afraid to let the party get a little noisy.
~Read through a few Psalms. A few of my favorites are Psalm 8, Psalm 9, Psalm 145, Psalm 139.
~An obvious one: jam out to your favorite worship song.
So today I choose to smell nice, RISE UP! and CELEBRATE.
Who’s with me?
