  1. I was JUST praying about this this morning, Sarah! YES, I’m IN!! Let’s do it! I’m tired of being complacent and I feel like I’m not truly LIVING my faith. I think God is preparing me for something in 2012..not sure yet what it is but I can feel something in my spirit.

    -Michelle :)

  2. I ve recently found myself being very complacent. The desire/hunger for spending time in the Word getting to know Him seems to have gone out the window:( how do I regain that?!?

    • Christi-this is totally normal. I call this “blah faith.” I actually wrote a series of post about feeling blah about your faith based on my own experience with blah. The best thing you can do is “just show up” and make yourself available to the Lord, even when you just don’t wanna. He will bless this. Day after day, just showing up becomes delightful and you will crave your time with the Lord.

Here is my strand of posts on Blah faith: https://liveitoutblog.com/category/blah-faith/

Let me know if you need further encouragement…I’ve been there, done that for sure!

  3. Oh how my heart beat one with this! It reminds me of Nehemiah in 4:14 when he said “Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”

Who will fight for our daughters, sisters, ganddaughters but those willing to shake off the dust of this world and rise up, live a life of purpose and be willing to speak truth.

Living purposefully is where I am headed in 2012. It’s time to rise up out of the dust and live a life of purpose that points others to Christ.

Sarah I am so glad I “stumbled” across your blog, look forward to sharing in your journy in 2012

  4. Sarah- It’s so interesting that you would post about this because I have decided to do this as my New Year’s resolution…not too lose weight again (although that’s always nice) but to work on furthering the kingdom of my Father. So excited about this and as others have said…I’m in!! Let’s do it! :)

  5. Just finished reading thru the posts u recommended. Needed the reminder to not base my relationship with Him on emotions. Read Psalm 8 to HIM and asked for the MORE that you talked about in that post. I know that He loves when i simply make the effort to show up and that s when He will renew the hunger/desire/passion! But I simply am not sure where to start if u know what I mean!

    • Christi,
I love getting a notebook out and reading through the Psalms. I often write out verses that stick out to me and journal through prayers. Also, I highly recommend the devotional book, Jesus Calling.

  6. I have had a deep burning desire to be doing something MORE in my lief than what I have been doing. I feel like God has shown me sparks in a couple diff areas, but for some reason I get swamped with all this other junk and just feel overloaded on life. I know there’s more for my life than just simply going through it, but I’ve been barely been able to keep myhead above water, which I know is definitely not bringing glory or honor to Him.

I have passion in a couple different area and want SO BADLY(and nothing more than) to be using them and doing these things – its even when I feel my closet to God and feel really like I’m doing what I am made to, but just feel “stuck” like I can’t get back to that point. BLAH!

Excited to join in on this Sarah!

  7. The Lord is working BIG time. He has called me to rise up, up and away with HIM in 2012. I am to press forward on this journey, a journey that makes no fleshly sense. It will not be easy, but I know He is guiding me and lighting the path. So blessed am I to know that other women are joining me. To His special journey for each of us and to a 2012 filled with His purpose…

    I’M IN!!!

  8. Thank you and bless you for this post! I was thinking and praying about this, this morning! God has great things in store for 2012!! Praise God!

  9. I’m ALL in! I need to live a more daring and peace-filled life in 2012. And I know that God has GREAT things in mind for each and every woman out there. We just have to look and proclaim and pray!

  10. Yes I do want to Rise up.. But I get anxious and scared sharing the gosel with even my family.. and it is my prayer that i will be on fire for the Lord.. Its just so hard around here where I live cause its such a “dark place” spiritually. Lord Help me to Rise up!

    • Meg-I have to say it is tough when family is concerned. I would suggest praying through how you can LIVE out your faith and they see Jesus through your life in general. What do you think?

  11. Yes sarah I totally agree!! I need to remember to pray daily for this cause my flesh wants to act out alot! Especially with my mom!

    • Yay! Thanks for the purchase. I pray that the book will facilitate some meaningful conversations between you and Jesus!
