I’ve shared several main themes of Stress Point over the past few days:
Worship at the Throne of the King—in any, every and all life issues (stress points)
Waiting at the Throne of the King—prayerfully digging through the Word to find answers while in a holding pattern (waiting)
Today I’d like to share with you how I personally live out a third theme of Stress Point…
Find Focus on Him alone.

This morning I sat down with my hot tea (a bit of ice added to the top because I’m a wimp and can’t hang with the big kids drinking super cool coffee! :) ) I started to grab my Bible for my time with the Lord, but I realized my mind was swirling with items to add to my ever growing to-do list for the week. So I decided to grab a pen and paper to construct said to-do list to clear my mind for a more focused time with Jesus in the Bible. Here is how I finished up this task to help me FIND FOCUS ON HIM ALONE…a prayer:
Lord, I give this list to You. I want to make you, My King, THE priority this Monday morning…and every morning. Order my day so I work and “do” to your glory. Let me not live as a slave to this to-do list but help me fully submit to You. My I be flexible enough to abandon the list when I hear Your voice calling me elsewhere. I will breathe deep breaths of your peace and guidance rather than quick anxious filled gasps filled with stress. Amen.
Through out Stress Point I help my readers keep a straight and narrow focus on their King instead of looking (and swaying) to the right or to the left with their life’s stress points. It’s easy to get caught up and swept up when life gets crazy. But when we find focus on Jesus alone, He orders our life and directs us on His most perfect path.
What do you think? How will you find focus on HIM alone today?
Let’s chat…leave a comment.

I totally agree Sarah! I wish you would have posted it sooner!! I woke up feeling very overwhelmed with what I had to get done today so guess what I did I got ready for the day and did wgat I needed to do instead of having time with him first :( but you have encouraged me to write it out in prayer!!
Oh I’m so glad, Meg. I hope your day goes well!
Sara
My day hasn’t gone well everything as fallen apart and I am about ready to have a meltdown!! :(
I’m so sorry, Meg. Father God, please give Meg the rest she needs this evening to start the day fresh tomorrow. Your Word says you make all things new. Amen!
Totally how i’ve been feeling the last few days! Just a little out of sorts and so much on my mind. I was praying this morning on my drive to work that I would stop focusing on what needs to be done and see what has been doen for me! To see God’s hand in my life, His fingerprints is truly special. It’s so reassuring to know that I’m not the only one that can get a little side tracked, but knowing it takes a simple prayer to get me back on track. Thanks for the encouraging note.
Great prayer on your drive to work! Love the attitude and heart, my friend!
